Abstract

The review is devoted to the analysis of the monograph by A.S. Zhanbosinova “Please remove the undeserved stigma of Article 58 from me”: ego-documents in the history of political terror in Kazakhstan.” Interest in this kind of publications using a large number of new documents extracted from Kazakh archives is in great demand both in the scientific community and in society as a whole. The unique materials selected in the work will allow to get acquainted directly with the tragic pages of our history and form one’s own opinion on a number of complex episodes. The main advantage of this monograph is that it allows you to look at the course of history through the eyes of an ordinary person.
